A4E accepted as non-profit organization in Germany

After extended work on the statutes and their acceptance by the first assembly on June 9 in Würzburg, we registered A4E as a non-profit organization in Germany. Three weeks later we got the official confirmation that this was accepted so that we are now an official organization. This allows us to open a bank account and act as a legal entity, apply for funding, (with funding) hire staff, and so on. We also received the confirmation about our charitable status so we can accept tax-deductable donations (at least from within Germany, and in theory from within the EU).

If you are interested in contributing to the organisational work, e.g. by designing A4E projects and applying for funding, please join the Slack channel #wg_charity or contact Sebastian Jester or Leonard Burtscher.
