Astronomers’ climate work featured in New York Times

Katrina Miller and Delger Erdenesanaa, two fantastic early career science journalists, have written an excellent article about the impact of climate change on astronomy and astronomers’ work to address the climate crisis.  The article mentions Travis Rector’s new book, “Climate Change for Astronomers, Causes, Consequences, and Communication,” and several articles by A4E members, including Cantalloube et al. (2020), Knödlseder et al. (2022), Stevens et al. (2020) and Gokus et al. (2024).  It also includes a link to the Astronomers for Planet Earth website.  Many new members have joined since the article appeared on the front page of the 14 May 2024 science Times section of the New York Times with the headline “Training their Sights on Earth.”
